Brain injury Resource Center of Wisconsin Resources Specific To Brain Injury

Support groups are a valuable resource not only for support, but also for socializing and information sharing. Individuals and families who have lived with brain injury have information to share with those who are in the process of learning to cope with and accepting their new life after an injury  Often survivors, their family members and friends, and co-workers can feel as if they are alone and no one knows what they are feeling, thinking, and experiencing.

Brain injury causes a “ripple effect” unlike other situations that can befall an individual. Support groups can reach out to all those caught in the “wake” of the brain injury. Wisconsin should have brain injury support groups state-wide.  The Brain Injury Resource Center of Wisconsin is here to assist you in developing a support group in your area if one does not currently exist.
